"thru the canyon" original oil and mixed media is a piece of art that can be displayed either way. I did a poll with the people coming into my gallery to see what was their favorite. I found that everybody had their own version of how they liked it. This is one of my versions.
I drive thru the "big horn sheep" canyon almost everyday going to work at my studio/gallery. Well almost everyday in the summer and as the winter comes on I start taking more days off.
I love the canyon. I never get tired of looking at something, seeing something different, something in a different light, something with things on my mind, something looking in a different direction.
It is a love/hate drive as it can be somewhat intimidating with all the traffic and then sometimes it's quite lovely when it's just me and the canyon. Today was one of those days where it was just me.
Just for your information I started this one in 2009. I have had it partially painted and in the back of the cat. I saw it a couple of weeks ago and thought it's time to finish. I love it and hope you do too..
This is priced at $525.00 which does not include shipping.. It is not framed as I didn't know which direction to put it in. I also painted it on the sides. Which I love the way it turned out and didn't want to cover it up with a frame. It is on canvas. 20" w X 16" tall.
